At our chapter meeting, in our listening partnerships, members identified their plans for the coming weeks. If you are willing, please share with with us, as well as who your "accountability" partner from the meeting. We encourage you to check in with this person sometime in the next week or so to share your progress, discuss challenges, questions, etc.
Norway will be celebrating EARTH DAY on Saturday, April 20 - Please let Roberta know as soon as possible if you wish to join the celebration while helping to spread the word about CCL, the Energy Innovation and Climate Dividend Act, and more. This will be our Chapter's first official 'tabling' event! You may contact Roberta by text or phone at 207-333-1849 or by email at.

MAY CHAPTER CHALLENGE!
Here is the challenge - Practice explaining the concept of 'carbon fee & dividend' (CF&D) to another person. Depending upon your current comfort level, we're suggesting three possible levels for this challenge:
Level 1 challenge: Explain your involvement in CCL and your understanding of CF&D to a fellow CCL Western Maine Chapter member (click here for contact info for our currently active members; pick a practice buddy; set up a convenient time for the practice session; carry out the challenge; invite questions and feedback).
Level 2 challenge: Engage in the challenge with someone in your life who you know to be a supporter of climate solutions, but may not yet familiar with the basic elements of CF&D.
Level 3 challenge: Engage in the challenge with someone in your life who you suspect may be not be a supporter of climate solutions. Your primary goal in this particular case is to begin a conversation, to make a connection, to ask questions, to actively listen, to find common ground, and to create an opening for ongoing discussion.
Given the fact that the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act is based squarely upon the concept of CF&D, this month's challenge will help prepare us for our May meeting, where we will further hone our skills and become ever more effective citizen-ambassadors of the EICDA.
